        How our patented Sky-Loc Pin Works

Big Sky Precision Sky-Loc pins are positive-locking quick release pins, NOT "detent" pins.

Unlike our locking pins, detent pins have no push button - one simply
Pushes the pin in to insert it; locking balls hold the pin in place by spring
Force. When one pulls on the end of a detent pin, a spring-loaded ball
moves out of the way and the pin comes out.
 
Our pin requires the user to push the release button: the pin cannot be removed otherwise.

We also offer Double Acting quick release pins that allow you to push or pull to release, great in tight areas.
