Big Sky offers a plethora of options for the end of your Sky-Loc. We
first show-cased our closed end Sky-Loc, designed for harsh
environments, in 1998. Options include pressed plugs, threaded ends
and solid ends, where the hole for the spindle is simply not drilled all the way through.

Another popular end option is the bull-nose. Although Mil-Spec drawings from the 1940's detail a straight chamfer, our computerized machines make light work of a full radius at the end. This radius can greatly aid when the receiver location is awkwardly placed - the pin almost guides itself in since there is no edge to catch.

For situations that require preservation of finishes, our dentless™ delrin tip is the ticket. Developed to protect the mirror finish of our Sky-Doc fender cleat receivers, dentless tips also reduce metal-to-metal galling during insertion.

Custom ends can easily be made to your specifications. Morse tapers, stepped,
o-rings, snap rings...the Sky's the limit!
